Lalo! is the epitome of a neighborhood restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal and the space is open so that diners can be entertained by the food preparation. A long, Italian-style table can seat up to forty diners and cutlery and napkins are located in baskets spread along the wooden surface. The murmur of the people, the clinking of the pots, and the wreaths of lights along the table make you feel like you are at the biggest party in the neighborhood.
Eduardo Garcia, currently one of the most popular chefs in Mexico, and his wife Gabriela created this restaurant with the idea that diners could eat richly and at a moderate price. Four years earlier the couple began developing a project with Máximo Bristrot which became a resounding success. After three years, they once again had the opportunity to bring an idea to life. This time, the result was Lalo!.
Eduardo has an impeccable set of skills and techniques, dedication and, above all, a great passion. For breakfast, we recommend the eggs with Mexican caviar that explodes in your mouth for a fresh and intense sensation. Another exquisite choice is the French toast. Try not to eat the night before because the homemade brioche coated with a sweet coulis of red fruits and cream with fill you with a rollercoaster of textures and flavors. For carnivores, we recommend enjoying the pork tacos. All of Lalo!’s pastas are freshly homemade including the black tagliatelle with squid, mint, and serrano. There are dishes for vegetarians, fish and meat eaters alike; they even have a margarita pizza!
The menu is varied and full of irresistible cravings. There is no doubt you will want to explore each and every one of them.
Soon they will open their third restaurant in the Juarez colony, this time serving French cuisine.
