Public Cafè is many things. It is a breakfast that is extended on a cozy terrace. It’s a mid-morning coffee to disappear from the map. It’s a midday menu to escape the routine without leaving the city. Or also an excuse to work in the afternoon in a corner full of light and with wifi, by the way.
From the time they open their doors until midday, you can enjoy different proposals for breakfast. From the sweetest option, which includes a coffee with a piece of homemade pastries to a savory option with a soda and a sandwich made with artisan bread. And here, they pamper the products. We knew that the carrot cake, cheesecake and chocolate brownie were handmade simply because the taste confirms it.
They also prepare the juices instantly. The protagonist is called Suc Públic and is a creation of the house with carrot, ginger and orange. However, this summer the organic horchata and lemonade are perfect for the hottest days.
The coffee takes us on a trip through Brazil, India, Nicaragua and Guatemala, thanks to a personalized classic mix. It has a body, is aromatic and leaves a mark on the palate. 100% arabic. If you drink it with milk, you can choose from a great variety.
Breakfasts make way for the daily menu. The formula is simple but interesting. Every morning, they make a forecast of the diners before creating the dishes. Their cuisine is light and healthy. Fewer labels are not at odds with quality. Here, the raw materials are obtained through suppliers in the proximity. They like to know where the their ingredients come from and they use them to create original salads, gourmet sandwiches, tapas, Mediterranean dishes or creams with lots of personality. Which one do you like the most? The celery?
Their salads are full of colors, textures and flavors, such as lentils and anchovies. We suggest the roast beef with vegetables or one of their focaccias, which have distinct gastronomic identity.
Sit down for a while and choose between two formulas. You can enjoy one of their dishes and a drink for € 9.90 or, include coffee and dessert for € 12.80. You can also order it and take it home or to work. The sandwiches offer you the best flavors but with surprises among the breads that, incidentally, can be gluten free. And the menu also fits celiac.
While savoring the last thing left on the plate, we realize that Public Cafè is many things but above all, it is a place where you will feel comfortable in an intimate setting. And of course, you will not want to leave.
