This Venetian tavern is the closest you will get to the beautiful canal city in Italy from Barcelona. It is managed by Alfredo, Pablo and Mauri in the front of the house and Marco Filipponi in the kitchen.
The service is fantastic, as Mauri treats you like he is welcoming you into his own house. He explains that dishes to you without you having to even look at the menu. Besides the menu changes every day and is written by hand because the food is based upon the seasonal produce.
Seaside food with good products and some favorites like the Sardinas en Saor, sardines with raisins and caramelized onions. There other dishes like the fried squid with vegetables, the squid ink risotto and potato gnocchi with duck rugu and the fragole, which is sort of a rice and a couscous with fish.
Marco also makes fresh pasta every day and shows you how proud he is of the taglietelle that hangs off the pasta-maker. The pasta dishes include parpadelle with fish, clams and mussels, shrimp ravioli and many more. There are also other dishes like breaded ossobuco with mashed potatoes and duck confit.
This small restaurant really feels like a your own Venetian family.
