A classic and essential place to have a Vermouth right next to the market square in Barceloneta. Opened 10 years ago by Victoria Soler and Agapito Jaen, this charming bar is known for great tapas, wine from the barrel, Vermouth and a friendly atmosphere. With marble tables and “thanks for visiting” written on the floor, the bar speaks for itself. To accompany your vermouth and soda, nothing better than the crab salad, the Cantabrian anchovies, the prawns, the Spanish omelette or Iberian ham with red pepper. You can also order the preserves combo which includes mussels, cockles, razor clams, anchovies, olives and salted shrimp. Moreover, on the weekends can also try the breaded artichoke, or the fresh fried fish or squid. All of which is served by the humorous Coki, the manager for the past 7 years, he is a showman and never forgets a face. If you fancy a relaxed atmosphere, go midweek. If, however, you are someone who loves to share a table and some good laughs, this place is a real spectacle on Saturdays and Sundays.
