Ben Plantat was born out of the idea to start a restaurant where anyone – carnivores, vegetarians and vegans alike – could enjoy delicious food at any time of day. The owners, Gaby Morales and Jordi Jimenez, are a couple who have fused their cultures to create a delicious menu of Mexican/Catalan food.
Start your day with one of their amazing breakfasts: yogurt with fruit, honey and granola, a sandwich with bacon, goat cheese, arugula and tapenade, or their simple yet delicious toast with butter and marmalade.
Marinated stuffed mushrooms, Cantabrian tuna belly with pepper and seasonal tomatoes, or their house-made burger with capers, sweet onions and julienne potatoes are some of the more mouthwatering dishes. At lunch time you can always order their tasty and healthy special, a steal of a deal at only 8.50 euros.
For a snack at any time, try the guacamole or their patatas bravas with the house sauce made with chile chipotle – if you’re feeling brave and can stand a little heat.
All their dishes are made with organic ingredients and local, seasonal fruits and vegetables (km0). Plus, their bread always comes from Baluard bakery.
Healthy and wholesome organic food that your stomach will thank you for.
