A year ago in March Blu Bar was transformed into what it is today, a relaxed and fun restaurant that, almost inadvertently, is becoming the meeting point among surf lovers who come to eat, replenish and regain the strength to continue their route by the Mediterranean Sea. Captained by Marco, Dario and Giuseppe, Blu Bar is the perfect place to have a good time while enjoying its variety of Mediterranean dishes, from appetizers and salads to pizzas and gourmet snacks.
But don’t worry, if surfing isn’t your thing and it turns out you are close to the Rambla de Poblenou, do not be afraid to get close and take a look at the menu of Blu Bar, fresh and renovated, and adapts to all of your culinary preferences. Would you like something light and healthy? Their salad bowls are a success, especially the vegan Quinoa Bowl with avocado, carrots, zucchini, pipes, arugula, and baby spinach seasoned with a mint vinaigrette. Or the vegetarian Super Bowl with spinach hummus, cherries, red cabbage and egg seasoned with a citrus vinaigrette. You want something more powerful? The star of the house are the Gourmet Sandwiches, a selection of sandwiches made with artisan pizza dough. The Italian Saltimbocca is great with buffalo mozzarella, avoid, tomato, onion and arugula.
Championed by two authentic Italians, Blu Bar could not miss a selection of one of the excellent Italian meals: pizza, among which is the Buffalo with mozzarella, artichokes and dry tomatoes. Attention, it does not carry tomatoes but in this way the flavors of the ingredients are further enhanced. And without ever losing sight of the objective of offering quality products adapted to all types of diets, Blu Bar takes advantage of its roots to bring you ingredients of Italian origin and quality. A restaurant that boasts cannot fail having a good and tasty tomato sauce, a quality mozzarella and a well served pizza dough.
Leave room for dessert because it’s worth trying the “Sexy” Tiramisu with mascarpone cream and passion fruit. Or for cheese lovers, the New York Cheesecake with raspberry jam. But if you have let yourself be guided by the vegan menu, you can finish it with the Mocha Chocolate, a pure chocolate cake and incredibly vegan coffee.
If instead of coming at noon and take advantage of its daily menu, and you prefer to spend the evening finishing the day with a dinner accompanied by good drinks, they will receive you with arms wide open. They have an extensive menu of cocktails, among them the Cocktails with Blu, of their own creation, like its Margarita with grapefruit juice and lemon, the Capri Frozen, or the Gin Blu of gin, lime and ginger ale.
