Lovers of a good gin and tonic have had their eye on Bobby Gin for a long time. Found in the centre of Gracia, it’s a highlight of Barcelona that began with Manel Forés and Óscar Alcaraz and their desire to teach respect, understanding and taste for the G&T to an ever growing audience.
“We only want to guide and advise our customers, and have them choose themselves. We know that the perfect gin and tonic doesn’t exist.”
The desire to find new challenges and increase their ambitions has led them to expand their business with a kitchen. With Roger Edo as chef and Alberto Pizarro as bar manager, the entire team is working on the food menu in order to build it up to the level of their cocktail menu.
The food is completely homemade, fresh, innovative and made with high quality ingredients. Their international cuisine changes with the seasons.
Just by looking at the cocktail bar, you can see the options are endless. A good choice is to enjoy a Gin Fonk and some crackers with foie and apple or a gourmet hamburger. Those who want a hint of Asian with their evening can opt for a salmon sashimi G&T along with crispy prawns, rice and chutney sauce or tuna tataki. As for desserts, the Urdemale cake or the chocolate brownie with spiced rum are, without a doubt, delicious.
“Let’s talk about harmony, not mixing; balance, not proportions.”
