Replacing an old traditional butcher shop in the Sant Antoni neighborhood, on Sepúlveda Street, is now the Italian pork butcher’s shop and paninoteca – Bodega Santo Porcello -which offers a wide variety of Italian cold cuts and cheeses. It also has a small grocery store of local products from Italy such as pasta, sauces, preserves, drinks and much more.
At Bodega Santo Porcello, every ingredient has been thought out with great delicacy. From the sausages, which come from Italy, the vegetables and home-made sauces, as well as the sourdough bread that is delivered fresh daily from Yellow Bakery. This paninoteca is unlike anything you’ll eat, because as it is also charcuterie, and is characterized by its freshness. One of the most emblematic options is the Bologna La Grossa, a panino stuffed with mortadella, pistachio pesto, Scamorza cheese and balsamic vinegar. It is in this small shop that we have found the beautiful balance between sandwiches and traditional Italian paninis.
