Hamburgers that are not fast food and that also do not come from Texas (as they say) but actually from Venezuela. How is this? Undoubtedly unexpected, the quality and cuisine that is full of flavor, translates the Venezuelan soul although a hamburger is a hamburger and Burger Shack are flavors of the American spirit. A mix that has already conquered Chueca with its #Truelove claim.
Another hamburger? Not quite, although in Madrid it seems that no matter how many are opened, all are tested. Like we said, this is fast good, that is, the quality. “We know that there are many people who love American food and that there are not always proposals that work on this concept with top-quality ingredients,” says Patricia Rodrigues, Marketing Director of Burger Shack Spain. For this reason, the meat is fresh (it does not go through a freezer), from selected suppliers and it is bitten daily on the spot; and the bread is artisan and of their own recipe (artisan bakers do it exclusively for Burger Shack), we can only say that they do it with potatoes and get it to be spongy, something sweet and firm, that neither the sauces nor the juicy meat can break.
Although they have wings and an occasional entree, we recommend going straight to the burgers if you do not have a Spartan hunger. The Burger Shack conquers the street burgers. Composed of beef (no mixtures) with tomato, onion, lettuce and melted cheese croquette. As you read it, croquette of melted cheese that mixes with jalapeños, with Portobello mushrooms or with bacon and chives. At the beginning of the meal try some to make the decision easier. It has a crispy cover and warm cheese that melts in your mouth.
With this same meat they have the Cheeseburger, the Bacon Shack and the Double (be careful with eating through the eyes). But they also cook chicken, the brisket concretely, juicy and in a very crispy batter, well fried and without excess fat. It is the Chicken Shack and it has real chicken (it seems silly to say it but not all can boast about that), lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise. It does not carry the croquette, but you can add bacon, caramelized onions, cheddar and/or jalapeños. And if you’re not satisfied, the potatoes that accompany the burgers can carry freshly fried bacon and Cheddar cheese are sure to fill you up.
And there is more, because although the menu is simple, it is made to sin, and the shakes invite gluttony. Homemade and forceful, their shake options range from vanilla and chocolate to Nutella and Oreo. But since we’re American, the peanut butter is well worth a try. Now, be careful with the empacho as it is better to share, it is intense. Because here they know how to conquer by the stomach.
