Located on the corner of Juan Bravo with General Pardiñas, Coal Negro is a restaurant that catches the attention of anyone who passes by. Large windows let you glimpse into a space that will surprise you as soon as you enter. Its dazzling marble bar is located in the center of the premises, its walls covered with stone, the wooden floor shining with the light that comes through its large windows.
Head of the kitchen is Gonzalo Armas, a chef with lots of experience who has created a menu full of tastey dishes that convey where the grill has a great presence. The grill is so important, that it is located on the main floor of the restaurant, and the diners can watch it as they eat.
All its dishes are characterized by making the most of the main element and offering dishes where the product’s true flavor is drawn out, not hidden by other seasonings and sauces.
His dishes are inspired by home cooking from different parts of Spain, thus offering a nice tour of the Spanish geography. Gonzalo tries very hard to get the correct products for his dishes. Seafood is brought from Galicia, meats from the best farms in Madrid and Basque or vegetables from organic orchards.
In your menu you will find dishes such as Arbizu txistorra, Cantabrian anchovies or fresh asparagus from Navarra. The grill becomes more important in the main courses. Dishes such as sole, sirloin or chop are clear examples of the good work they do in the kitchen on the grill. To finish the meal, nothing better than a good sweet. The star dessert of Black Carbón is the cheese cake, a creamy and smooth cake that will delight anyone who tries it.
The bar is the perfect area to have an aperitif. Cheeses, freshly cut sausages or Russian salad are perfect snacks to accompany a well-drawn tap beer, a vermouth, a wine , or one of its delicious cocktails such as a Bloody Mary.
Coal Negro is an ideal restaurant for a family meal, to enjoy the traditional flavor of a good product or for a celebratory meal, as it also has isolated and intimate spaces that can be reserved.
