Extraordinary products deserved to be valued as if they were precious stones, and this is something that Due Spaghi knows well. Due Spaghi, an Italian-Catalan restaurant is located in Sant Antoni and run by Nicoletta Acerbi, Toni Pol and chef Paolo Mangianti.
“I come from a land of small producers and good products,” said Nicoletta, who is originally from Emilia Romagna. Nicoletta settled in Barcelona 11 years ago as a gastronomic journalist for Catalan cuisine. Then, alongside her partner Toni, they created Due Spaghi. “Due Spaghi is who he and I are. We have created cuisine that incorporates both of us” they said. They have been able to provide a menu that combines the best of both kitchens; on one hand, the roots of tradition Italian cuisine, and, on the other, the experimentation with new Catalan cuisine.
At Due Spaghi you will not find more than three pasta dishes, but every dish on their menu has you craving another one. They practice healthy lifestyle, travel in search of authentic products, and get to know the people who are behind the products. Sausages from Emilia Romagna or croquettes with ricotta are just some examples of dishes you can try to begin your gastronomic experience.
Thanks to the work of these three gastronomic enthusiasts and the love they put into each dish, we are able to taste the delicious dishes of Due Spaghi that will leave you speechless.
