EspaiSucre, a project undertaken by Jordi Butron and Xano Saguer is the only restaurant in the world with a menu that only contains desserts.
Before entering Espaisucre, facing the door, we see an ant, which represents this place as a worker and being present whenever there is something sweet; a little clue to help us understand where we are.
In EspaiSucre there are six combinations available: four of them sweet, and the remaining two, salty. The latter are produced or supplemented with pastry techniques and ingredients, sometimes playing with new versions of traditional dishes such as cream of San Simón, white peach ice cream, bread and oil, and dairy. A dish that could have tempted any of our grandmothers years back. Their mission is not to reinterpret dishes, their mission is to create sweet dishes alongside savory dishes for the perfect pairing. Their products will have you surprised by the contrast of flavors, textures and temperatures. Multiple variants, mixed together, melt in the mouth to create small moments of pleasure; a fleeting pleasure, yes, but one that remains etched in memory. Note: you cannot leave without having tasted the “sobao” with salt, lime and basil. Pure bliss.
Balanced menus and tastes are standard. In short, a paradise for lovers of the sweeter things.
