Dumplings, Gyozas, Wantones, Empanadas … we can continue with an endless list of dishes filled with immense variety. However, we have found that we always talk about the style of cooking and the confection – we’ve instead decided to talk about all the flavors hidden inside. Two young Mexicans, Ana and Eduardo, fell in love with Asian gastronomy and decided to start their dream business – uniting Mexican and Asian culture to create delicious dumplings. With dough made by hand, there are phenomenal filling options such such as pork with ginger, Mediterranean style veal, Thai shrimp, and shitakes and carrots. If we start well, we have to finish well -we decided on the Apple Pie dumplings with vanilla ice cream. Do not forget to stop by Gracia and take some home.

It is impossible not to fall in love with Argentinian empanadas. Luckily, in Barcelona, we have great varieties to taste and enjoy. In the neighborhood of Sant Antoni is El Laurel, a place full of impressive flavors. Here, empanadas are an art form. You can sample from traditional meat empanadas, to spinach; to cuttlefish, tomato, basil and mozzarella, or try our favorite vegetarian empanada of Shitake mushrooms, almonds and goat cheese. Come hungry, because when you get here you will want to eat everything.
