Riccardo and Vittorio Figurato are two Neapolitan brothers who love pizza. By decisions of life, both ended up in Madrid linked to the world of marketing, but decided to leave their jobs to make one of their dreams come true: to open an authentic Neapolitan pizzeria called Fratelli Figurato that would delight anyone who tried it.
The premise of Fratelli Figurato is clear: to offer a quality pizza, that was artisan, light and unconventional. And they have achieved it. Their pizzas are taken care of from the first moment. The Figurato brothers know that the secret of a good pizza is in its dough and that is why they take care of this ingredient to the maximum and even offer masses with different kinds of flour: traditional, integral or of 5 cereals.
Once the dough is made, they let it ferment for at least 36 hours to get a light dough. In this way, your pizzas are introduced into the oven when the fermentation process has been completed, preventing you from continuing to do it in the stomach and producing that heavy feeling that you usually have when you finish eating a pizza.
His menu focuses mainly on his signature dish: the pizzas, although they have a small variety of appetizers and desserts. The pizzas are divided into 3 sections: traditional (where there are options such as margherita or capricciosa), fresh (where the pizzas are more healthys) and unconventional (where you’ll find pizzas created by Riccardo).
Their pizzas change every season to offer proposals made with seasonal products. Pizzas such as pumpkin and bacon or mortadella and pistachios are some of the options most demanded by the curious combination of products.
The baking of the pizzas was another headache for these two brothers. Finally, they decided to install an Izzo electric oven, a furnace with refractory stone that prevents the pizza from burning and keeps the flavor of the ingredients.
As in Naples, Riccardo and Vittorio wanted their pizzas to be a dish that everyone could eat, and for that reason, their prices are very affordable. In addition, its delivery service brings its pizzas to the whole city. The interior of the boxes where the pizzas are transported is made of aluminum, which allows the temperature to be preserved for a longer time.
To taste with the pizzas, the Figurato brothers propose an Italian wine list. It is his uncle, an experienced sommelier, who has made the selection of wines that match perfectly with pizzas.
Undoubtedly, Fratelli Figurato is a recommended stop in Chamberí for all lovers of this Italian dish. A perfect way to move to a traditional Neapolitan pizzeria from the 60s, with a simple interior design with brick walls and wooden tables. The perfect environment to enjoy a real Italian pizza.
