Ginette is a restaurant that presents classic French cuisine in a completely different and original way: in its fusion with Catalan and Spanish gastronomy.
The immediate success that Ginette had after its opening in 2017 is understood from the moment you step through the door. Designed in a chic, French style, the room has an intimate and cozy atmosphere. It’s an equally comfortable environment to go eat out with coworkers, get tapas with friends or for a romantic dinner.
Ginette’s chef is loyal to the traditions of classical French cuisine, but at the same time is open to new innovations and experiments. The result is a menu with bold flavours and striking presentations with different textures and colours. The good thing is, you can try these authentic dishes at a very affordable price in relation to your dish. The first and second course, bread, a beverage, dessert or coffee all comes out to less than 15 euros.
The first thing they bring you is bread with butter, Beurre d’Échiré. They say it’s the best in the world, so prepare yourself, because it has a very particular flavour. If you are going in pecking order, you are obliged to try the famous bravas of Ginette. Although they bear the name of the famous Spanish tapa, they have very little in common. Ginette potatoes are backed and served with tomato sauce and homemade mayonnaise.
You have great meat, fish or shellfish choices for the main course. Among them are very soft flavoured ceviche; ox marinated for 35 days with carrots, cardamom and shallots; seed bread-crusted cod; roasted octopus with pineapple chutney and many others. As you’ll see, when you view the menu you’ll want to try all the combinations.
The perfect culmination would be to taste the exquisite French pastries. If you fancy a truly special sweet, leave space for the chocolate mousse with salted caramel sauce and hazelnuts. And if you want something lighter you can choose between fruity desserts, like a lemon tart, or, for example, the floating island with caramel.
To complement your food, take a look at the wide selection of Spanish and French wines and the classic cocktails from the menu.
