The Granja Petit Bo, situated right on the Passeig de Sant Joan 82, in the often ignored neighborhood of Eixample Dreta, invites you to have breakfast away from home, but with the comfort and tranquility of being home. The owners, Rodrigo and Pedro, came up with the idea after a trip to London. “We saw the philosophy there, and we wanted to transport that here, our own way.” Neither of them studied cooking, however their dream was to create a place that they, themselves, would go to as clients. When they arrived in Barcelona, they were looking for a place to put the restaurant when they came across this 20th century farm right in the city center. We were immediately drawn in by it’s huge wooden tables, big mirrors, armchairs, leather sofas and fresh flowers – it just had that family feel. They have the kitchen open all day, and in that kitchen you will find: fresh juices, delicious home made pastries for breakfast, lunch specials, and sweets for an afternoon snack. Also, on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays they are open until midnight, which allows you to enjoy their exquisite dinner menu. Some of the regular plates you will find are Thai chicken, quinoa, spicy chili con carne and sweet and sour sauce, noodles, ceviche or tasty hamburgers on home made bread. We highly recommend the huevos rancheros, which are much more risqué than other dishes in their family such as eggs Florentine or Benedict. For a taste of heaven on earth, try the pancakes. They have a menu that aims to please vegetarians and vegans as well, so bring your friends.
