Masters in the art of coffee have influenced it’s massive popularity in our country. This is the case of Hidden Café, a Gourmet cafeteria, a result of two friends and worldly acquaintances who saw the opportunity to set up their own place to market their imported products from remote locations. Carlos, expert and heir of the Spanish coffee throne, and Mateo, skilled in the world of tea; Created this small place of worship for coffee lovers. They value the traceability of their products, showing the origin of each of them.
As its name suggests, a café hidden in the city of Barcelona that speaks for itself. They have only been open for a year, but Hidden Café distributes coffee and tea to multiple businesses in Barcelona. We can even buy small doses and taste one of the best coffees in the world right in our home.
As Carlos explains, “Coffee is a fruit and as such, it has its seasons.” To this day they have the selection of Colombias among which they distribute three types: Farm, Sarita and Eden. A Coffee Store with traditional methods for the creation of the coffee, where the product is pampered and retains its own nutrients. Like its Cold Brew cold coffee, a process that infuses the ground coffee with water for 24 hours without increasing temperatures. Or Filter Coffee made with a Chemex coffee maker.
We sampled their Greek Bowl with homemade strawberry jam, granola and seasonal red fruits accompanied by their famous Matcha tea . And toast with avocado, smoked salmon, Japanese mayonnaise and dill. For dessert we opted for one of his pies, the irresistible Red Velvet. The sweetest way to end our evening.
