In 1973, Leopoldo Pomes opened this attractive and extremely romantic restaurant in the neighborhood of Sant Gervasi. What you will find here is the fusion of Mediterranean cooking and Italian culture. When entering the establishment, the first thing you notice is the fantastic decoration that takes you back to another time. With elegant cuisine and an informal approach, the bar is where you are invited to dine. You definitely can’t go wrong with the steak or tuna tartar, and on Thursdays we highly recommend the fettuccine paella. But if there is one thing you must have at Il Giardinetto, it must be the pasta, of which they have infinite varieties. Try the rigatoni, the trio, the spinach lunettes, the ravioli, the lasagna, the tagliolili putanesca, the spaghetti aglio, or the spicy peperoncino just to name a few. When night falls, everything changes. The tables separate, the floor turns into a dance floor, the waiters sport white sport coats and are ready to serve the bustling crowd with delicious cocktails. Take the risk, let them decide for you, it will be well worth it.
