Situated in the north of Madrid, Kion & Sui is a restaurant that praises Peruvian cuisine as well as other cultural fusions like Cantonese (one of the principal flavors inside Chinese gastronomy) and Chinese food (born from the gastronomic influence that the Chinese immigrants brought when they arrived in Peru).
Behind this restaurant is Nacho Fernández Picón, a businessman and lover of Peruvian cuisine who wanted a good quality kitchen that honored tradition. For his restaurant, he chose a name that indicated the cultural fusion that the customers will find in the interior of his restaurant. Kion is the word used in Peru for ginger and Sui is the word for the people that live in Cantón.
Decorated in water and wooden tones, with large windows that lighten up the room and the perfect terrace for summer nights; all making Kion & Sui a cozy and calm restaurant. In the principal room, you can find intimate spaces that are separated from the principal zone by stringed curtains, perfect for more intimate lunch or dinners.
From the Kion & Sui kitchen, three gastronomies co-live in the menu. These plates are elaborated with prime quality ingredients that are homemade and cooked traditionally.
In the menu, you will find plates like the sea bass ceviche, the tuna tiradito and the Peruvian empanadillas filled with ají de Pollo del corral; typical Peruvian cuisine. The sautéed sirloin is a plate that surpasses many and is also the most representative of the Chifa kitchen. From his best-sellers, you will find Cantonese cuisines like the Cantonese-style scallops and the duck and foie dim sum, both delicious options.
Out of the dessert options, you will find the Naihuanbao, fried and filled with egg and covered in honey; the perfect sweet option to end your meal in this local restaurant.
Kion & Sui is the perfect restaurant to enter the Peruvian gastronomic journey. This is a restaurant where every detail is put into consideration: from decor to its authentic flavors.
