In the middle of all the hustle and bustle of el Mercado del Ninot is La Bikineria, a totally new and reinvented concept of a product that appeals to children and adults at any time of the day.
Joan, a very talented young chef, has used the Art i Gust stop at the market, dedicated above all to gourmet products, select sausages and fresh Italian pasta, among other delicacies, as a place for her creations, taking advantage of a space with many good options.
This, coupled with her obsession with bikinis , made her finally decide to create a corner where one could taste quality, cooked bikinis that were more than a single assembly of bread with ham and cheese. She has managed to create a product that has infinite delicious possibilities.
La Bikineria has a concept suitable for all hours of the day, a place to go for breakfast, lunch or for a snack . They offer perfect options for every moment of the day, with a very agile and fresh bar concept that works with products from the same market. Things such as the artichoke, the cheeses and the butifarra are all served in a cozy bar.
Joan has managed to intrigue the older and more regular market goers to try these new combinations, and at the same time as inticed a younger palate – a public little used to the market, in the time of packaged and fast food. With this intention, it offers new, tasty and exciting options to the taste of the clientele.
The menu is not very extensive, but is not missing anything. Some of its most succulent proposals are, for example, the bikini Art i Gust made with porchetta, truffled capriolo, tartufatta and ruca and named after the origin of all the products used, all coming from the same stop.
Another of his bikinis, and one of the best sellers of the house, is the carbonara. Composed by Guancialle with pepper, parmesan, caramelized onion, oregano and egg yolk, it is a combination that after simply seeing it, you are enticed to eat it.
We also find the ephemeral, a bikini that changes according to seasonality and treated in a measured and elegant way. For example, artichokes with black botifarra and brie cheese , a real delight that melts in your mouth with its varied textures.
And if you are not interested in the hustle and bustle of the market, they can be vacuum packed so you can take it and enjoy them in a group with friends or family – something everyone will surely appreciate.
