La Sierra de la Bobia, situated in Austurias, is an incredible restaurant that has become an ambassador of the Austurian cuisine in Madrid. Cheeses, cachopos, cider or arroz con leche are some of the plates you will find on the menu with asturian essence.
This local restaurant along with its delicious food has a long history where it was the meeting point for the locals of La Movida in Madrid. The restaurant’s success can also be accredited to the filming of various scenes for the movie Laberinto de Passiones inside this restaurant. To this day, this restaurant is still the perfect meeting point thanks to its pleasant environment and its placement in the La Latina neighborhood.
In La Bobia you can enjoy typical asturian plates with cider in an environment where happiness fills the air. This local restaurant simulates the look of a tavern where they pop open bottles of cider as well as barrels (of which hold 10,000 liters of cider) which had been made into the perfect tables for groups of up to 10 people.
From their kitchen, the delicious plates include creamy croquettes made with cecina or squid, chicken with garlic, or the amazing torialla with potatoes and cabrale cheese. Being one of their star plates, juicy, with a strong and incredible taste, satisfies your entire pallett. The patatinas al cabrales, the chorizo marinated in cider, the fabada asturiana, the cachopo, stuffed veal are plenty of other recipes that La Bobia kitchen most graciously make for their customers.
To accompany any of their plates is the natural cider which they serve to you in a bottle with a device to make serving it easy. This natural cider is also used to marinate many of the kitchen’s delicious creations.
