When Santi and Laila got together, the young couple shared the same dream of opening a restaurant. Years later, they acted on their dream and opened the Italian restaurant “La Delizia.” Laila, a chef trained at Michelin star restaurants, knew the secrets of success: quality ingredients, respect for time and passionate cooking.
Unfortunately, Laila became ill and the couple decided to close the restaurant. It was not until last January, with Laila nearing recovering, that she and Santi decided to try again. This time they would focus on one of Laila’s most beloved dishes: roast chicken. La Brochette is named after one of the new restaurant’s star plates: the chicken skewers.
Santi and Laila aim to give roast chicken a new reputation, more than just a Sunday dinner. “We would like our customers to want to eat chicken any day of the week and we know that to achieve this we have to make it very tasty and surprising,” the owners explain. To achieve this result, they marinate their chicken for 24 hours and with more than seven spices.
La Brochette also offers a daily menu for 12,5 euros that includes a first and main course, a drink, dessert, and coffee. For chicken-less options, you can order off an extensive menu with healthy dishes of Mediterranean origins. The charming restaurant is also known for its homemade desserts.
Santi and Laila are always willing to open more Mediterranean restaurants, as long as they can ensure the use of quality products and a positive experience for their customers.
