Barcelona might not be a city well known for its sandwiches, but we are here to bring you five highly recommended restaurants, so you can enjoy this timeless creation made for breakfast, snack, lunch or dinner.
This restaurant on Sant Antoni combines quality bread with exceptional products. The kitchen offers sandwiches such as the oxtail in red wine and dark chocolate, but also vegetarian sandwiches filled with grilled zucchini, tomatoes, green onions, and goat cheese.

At 8 in the morning, this place welcomes its customers, with its main attraction, the daily breakfast sandwiches. They have a unique menu with options that will have you wondering “Are you sure?”, but after you’re first bite, you will remove any doubt you ever had. Some of their unique options include the sardines with red peppers and artichokes, and the black bull with goat cheese.

With the union of three colleagues – two Argentinean brothers and their Mexican associate, they created Bro Barcelona, a cozy welcoming place where Argentine styled sandwiches and hamburgers are served. Their sandwiches are made with artisan coca bread, homemade sauces and other ingredients of the highest quality. Their famous dishes are: the “pollo bro” sandwich, which includes a breaded chicken breast, lettuce, tomato, pickles and Jack Daniel’s barbecue sauce; or the “choripán’ which is a sandwich composed of creole sausage with lettuce, tomato, red onion and Argentinean chimichurri.

Juan Latuff and Alegandro Bringas, both Venezuelans, met in the kitchen and decided to collaborate, opening their own business, Chivuo’s. Some of their sandwiches are the Tuna Melt- a fresh salad of tuna with homemade mayonnaise and melted cheddar cheese- Grilled Chicken Sandwich – a juicy grilled chicken with fresh tomato, garlic onion sauce, and avocado- Philly Cheese Steak – tender slices of veal sautéed with onion and garlic and olive-oil sauce (also available in a vegetarian version) – and finally the magnificent Pulled Pork- pork cooked at a low temperature with homemade barbecue sauce and sour cabbage.

On Rera Palau Street, we can find the Pastrami Bar, known for its particular talent with smoked products; his specialty, the pastrami sandwich. There are also other tempting options such as the sandwich composed of smoked cheese and on Thursdays you can enjoy the roast pork.
