The name “Massa” gives us a pretty good idea of what to expect when we enter the doors of this family business owned by Eduard Minobis, his partner and his brother-in-law.
For their third restaurant, this trio decided to enter the highly competitive Barcelona pizza market. Massa offers two tempting options: design your own pizza from scratch or trust the daily house special. When designing your own pizza, you start with the dough, add spices, and then the toppings. Star toppings include: L’Escala anchovies, Bolognese mortadella, veal from Girona, caramelized onions, homemade roasted peppers, portobello mushrooms and cherry tomatoes. Most importantly, they offer eleven different types of cheese, from classic mozzarella to goat to a blue cheese made from sheep’s milk.
To accompany your pizza, Massa offers a great variety of select wines and will soon be the first pizzeria with a Montseny brewery handle. For dessert, we recommend the cheesecake and blackberry pie.
Another amazing part of Massa is the design of the building. The space consists of two distinct environments which create the perfect informal yet cosmopolitan restaurant. Without being thematic, Massa uses an amplitude of colors, mirrors and friendly tones to create a rhythmic aesthetic.
Treat Massa as if you were in your own home and take advantage of the luxury of crafting your very own pizza.
