Carol and Edu, partners at home and in business, began their adventure four years ago when they were inspired in New York – hence the name “Meatpacking Bistro”.
They wanted to create a gastrobar that gives value to American cuisine and disproves the stereotypes that it is unhealthy with little care put into it. Their high standards are supported by quality organic ingredients and freshly made products, with a focus on local (km0).
Throughout the years, they have offered cuisine that adapts to local tastes while remaining faithful to its origins.
There are two areas of Meatpacking Bistro: the Café-Bistro has adapted to neighbourhood life and is a good place for those who want to temporarily escape the office or enjoy brunch, while the Liquor Bar is great for meeting friends, having a drink or relaxing after work.
It’s hard to choose just one thing from the menu, but the Meatpacking Burger is a good choice that stays true to the restaurant’s New York roots. Enjoy it with your favourite side: home fries, mac and cheese, or a mini pesto salad.
Carol and Edu continuously strive to surprise their customers with new items. The latest additions include the Home BBQ, made of volcanic rock on which they “BBQ” to their hearts’ content. Another highlight is the Pork Belly with mango chutney, slow cooked for 18 hours.
Oreo lovers can fall in love with the Oreo cheesecake over dessert.
The key to their success is hard work, enthusiasm, and staying true to their original concept. Come see for yourself.
