In an old building that used to house wooden toys and furniture sits Mostassa. Though it now sells delicious food instead of crafts, there are small details that keep the buildings character in tact.
The owner, Rachel, opened Mostassa with the desire to serve healthy and honest food to her guests. From the bread to the beer, everything served at Mostassa has environmentally friendly and sustainable farming practices in mind. Rachel thought that Barcelona was the perfect place to open such a restaurant for several reasons. First, the proximity to the sea. Second, a consumer base with an open mind to try new things. She couldn’t be more right.
A popular dish on the menu is the gourmet hotdog, free of additives or conservatives. Other healthy options include a quinoa and kale burger, or the local catch of the day. We recommend topping your burger with the signature salsa: a mixture of onion, red pepper, curry and mango.
No matter what you order, you can rest assure that each dish is created with consistent care for both you and the environment.
