It’s an early Friday night in Sevilla. Only 21:30, yet there is already a line of people on the sidewalk waiting to eat dinner at Nikkei Bar. This pioneer establishment opened two years ago here in the capital of Andalusia, and it is still just as popular as when it first opened.
A hybrid of Peruvian and Japanese cuisine, word about how delicious the cuisine is has traveled fast. In fact, 90% of the people who visit Nikkei Bar come via recommendation from a friend. Behind the bar sits an open kitchen, where the three head chefs prepare the menu. The ceviche with milk and the green salad of cucumbers, capers and nigiris noodles are fan favorite dishes you cannot pass up.
Owners Adrián and Alex are extremely interested in knowing what people want to eat. They say it is also important for people to know what they are eating, which is why they don’t hide anything. The open kitchen at Nikkei Bar creates a transparency with the customer, you have special privilege here to see how your food is being prepared.
The food her is simply perfect. Breathtakingly rich. The menu itself is not that extensive, but when everything is created so perfectly, it’s hard to find complaints. The dining room is filled with laughter and faces that radiate a special happiness that only delicious food can bring.
This is truly an experience you must treat yourself to.
