In 2009, also known as possibly the worst year in history to be an architect graduate, Victor Alenar decided to trade in his drawing board for a cutting board.
Pajarita, a restaurant in Malasaña, is filled with creative spirit and unique features unlike any others in the area. The idea of Victor was and is to make this a fun restaurant; a place where you would go on a first date and the reality is that people of all kinds go, including famous chefs.
Many people are attracted to Pajarita by the beautiful décor and above all the food. Some items from the menu include: the Coca guanajuatense, the Quekas (quesadillas of chipotle mushrooms with pesto and pico de gallo), el Baozi of cactus (yes, cactus), las Bombitas of shrimp or octupus. For dessert, you can try the Cotton cake (cheesecake with avocado mousse) or Papa Francisco 1 (Chocolate Mousse with cocoa and hazelnut).
The menu is filled with delicious items of South American and Asian influences for a reasonable price. Pajarita has been open for a year and half, only closing on Sunday nights and has a bright future ahead.
