It has been a while since African culture has been valued in Barcelona, but it is necessary to keep showing the culture’s richness to both locals and visitors. The motives have been enough to make the first year of Afrobeats Barcelona festival, this Friday in Sala Apolo.
The music will be the main attraction. The avant-garde rhythms will come from the hands of Fela Kuti, Ogun Afrobeat, representatives of the Yoruba culture: DE9 with a mix of tribal and electronic sounds; Senegalese Momi Manga will be accompanied by his choir and orchestra ; the incomparable rhythms of Dentora as well as local popular bands like Alma Afrobeat Ensemble and la Orquetra Africana de Barcelona.
Afrobeats spectacular dancing is a must-see for the culture. With these, other artists will be present like Anthony Diaz, who with only 20 years is considered the best current Afrobeat dancer. For the more bold, there will be face painting and African braiding.

Llimonades 2019: 8º San Fermín del Gótico
For the 8th consecutive year, the Gothic neighborhood will be passed through the center of Pamplona to become the Sanfermines de Barcelona.
The festivities will start at noon and will begin with the famous txupinazo. At 14:30, paella will be served for all at the Restaurant Bidasoa. Finally, the festivities will end with a neighborhood party that you cannot miss. From 18:00 to 23:00 there will be music and concerts. Are you coming?

Last Sunday, el Poble Espanyol was filled with lively Venezuelans enjoying the festivities, now it is the Argentinians who are ready to celebrate their national holiday. For this celebration, the entire Argentinian community in Catalunya is invited as well as many Argentinian tourists that visit Barcelona for a taste of the culture, to admire the folklore and enjoy the delicious food of the country.
During this celebration there will be live live performances that will highlight the two figures of the Argentinian music, which will be performed by Juanse from Ratones Paranoicos and Bahiano, the original voice of Los Pericos.
