A festival in a mall is the free plan that La Maquinista has organized on the 24th and 25th of July. Whoever visits this space can the music and dance that is most representative of today, rap and trap. This Thursday, we have a fun filled activity that will surely have success with its attendees. This is treated as a Batalla de Gallos, a true showcase of talent and ingenuity where the lovers of rap can demonstrate their flow and capability of improv over the bases of DJ Tish. The jury will be formed by FJ, rapper who specializes in freestyle, Endika Gutierrez Sanchez Ocana- known as Invert, international winner of the Rap Freestyle Red Bull Batalla de Gallos of 2014, and Kemsuke. La Pedrera Jazz: Rita Payés Quartet
If you are someone that loves jazz and always is looking for a place to appreciate good music, then surely you have already heard that La Pedrera will make Friday and Saturday nights into a space to enjoy this style in Barcelona.
On the roof of the Gaudi’s building, in Paseo de Gracia, the space is transformed into the perfect place to spend a good summer night. The panorama starts with a view in the attico de la Ballena, located in the loft of the Casa Mila, followed by a glass on the roof, an emblematic place full of architecture, city life, and jazz music.
The proposal for this Friday comes with the artist Rita Payes with her project ‘Imagina,’ which unites two generations and two ways of living the music. Rita’s jazz and classic guitar are fussioned in a spectacle of bossa nova.

Nights of theatre in Park Güell: Los Tarantos
A movie in the fresh air is a plan that never fails. Park Güell also joined in on this initiative with its own version of adding a special touch.
Through films of different eras, the organizers pretend that the spectator perceives the changes that Barcelona has experienced.
The movie projection always starts with an introduction by professor Celia Marin Vega, who presents the movies and explains the historical and sociocultural context. This Friday the movie ‘Los Tarantos,’ made by Francisco Rovira Beleta, an innovative and musical version of ‘Romeo and Juliet’, set in marginal Barcelona, principally in Somorrostro and Montjuïc, and protagonized, among others, by Antonio Gades, Carmen Amaya, Sara Lezena and Peret. In 1963, it was nominated for the Oscar for best international film.

Festa Major del Poble-sec 2019

The emerging music of the country and surpassing the borders arrive in Poble Espanyol thanks to H&M’s initiative that looks to raise resources for an agency ACNUR solidarity project while also showcasing new talents.
This new event’s protagonist will be the ex Operación Triunfo, Amaia, who thanks to her charisma and voice, she has gained many followers, The singer will use this occasion to present the songs from her debut ‘Pero no Pasa nada’, which will be released in September.
Accompanying her are el Salvaje and HINDS, that with only two albums in five years have spread nationally and internationally as one of the feminine bands with future in the independent scene.
The chilean, Javiera Mena will enchant the crowd with her singles from her fourth disk, ‘Espejo’, an addictive interior trip with touches of pop from the 80s and 90s as well as perform her hits. There will also be Cupido, Pimp Flaco and the canary-madrid band Solo Astra. The ticket office will close one DJ Coco session, one of the classics of the Barcelona clubbing scene.
