A mover el esqueleto
After three very successful years, the Mad Cool festival returns to IFEMA on July 11th, 12th and 13th with artists like The Cure, Vampire Weekend, The Smashing Pumpkins and Bon Ever, among others. For the 4th annual year, the organization has changed details like eliminating the front stage zone and one of the stages as well as decreasing the capacity- going from 80,000 down to 75,000 entries a day-. Apart from the changes, music lovers can enjoy this festival a day early thanks to the Welcome Party that will have 16 bands and Rosalia are the headliner for the day.

FRIDAY 12
A trip to the less well-known Japan
With such eagerness to conquer stomachs and surprising the customers, chefs of Umo Mariano Barrero y Hugo Muñoz, have kicked off the summer with their new menu that previews the less common Japanese cuisine. A combination that translates into plates like the Fideuá en caldo udón, salted to the wok, chipirón de potera and prawns, Pollo de campo yakitori, Temaki de langostino en tempura and the nigiri de vaca vieja con cecina de León. To prepare the plates, the chefs have made use of techniques like the robot and the Japanese grill to have that unmistakable touch.

Last weekend of the season
Enjoy of live concerts, food tastings, drinks and showcase your talent with karaoke. Maercado de Motores returns to the historic Museo el Ferrocarril with creations and designs from more than 200 artists that offer a wide catalogue of products like furniture, secondhand fashion, jewelry, and gourmet products. The is a special occasion to enjoy the last weekend of the season with your family and friends while tasting the delicacies of the food trucks.
SUNDAY 14
Vallecas gets wet
Is there anything better than a good dip in the water to fight off this summer heat? Well, take note because this Sunday we are celebrating the Batalla Naval de Vallecas which is an aquatic party in which buckets and jets of water will be the main protagonists of this year’s- 38th annual event which will fight against climate change. Similarly to past celebrations, it will all end with a paella en the Plaza Vieja.
