In the bright, central and warm place of Gracia is Suís & Bowl: a café in a modern space where you can find new flavors, that revolves around a community that prefers healthy, fresh and balanced food.
Cristina was the entrepreneur who decided to create a restaurant concept, after traveling around the world and discovering different types of cuisine. In London she realized that bowls were becoming a strong culinary trend, and she decided to reinvent an old cafeteria and turn it into a diaphanous space open to everyone. After working for many years in the world of restoration, the project became a reality with the establishment focused on the healthy, colorful world.
And behind Suís & Bowls there is a clear philosophy that emphasizes the need to forget about labels, focus on variety, and most of all to share. They demonstrate their philosophy in their variety of plates offered (suitable for vegetarians and vegans but also for omnivores) and where they bet on health but also taste joy.
The amount of shops and cafes in the Gracia neighborhood has only grown in recent years and it is not easy to create an innovative new restaurant in this neighborhood. Suís & Bowls transforms the typical concept of a cafeteria restaurant and offers very good quality to price ratio, working with quality products as well as special service to keep customers loyal. This is the main concept that Cristina had in mind when she decided to start Suís & Bowls: betting both on the product variety and the diversity of customers.
But this concept of restaurant has something for everyone: from those who come for a meeting over coffee, or prefer a pasta dinner. Her imagination does not end there: she has turned typical breakfasts into gourmet toast or yogurt bowls. The menu is designed combining KM0 products and includes bowls based on cereals, vegetables and protein (vegetable or animal).
It is an authentic ode to fresh and varied products that creates incredible combinations and formulas that enrich the kitchen, such as some of the menu’s starters: a delicious cream of lentils with coconut milk or spaghetti with zucchini and pesto.
They often have a “bowl of the day” composed of different ingredients like CousCous, pumpkin spice, orejones, onion, feta cheese, cilantro, beet hummus beet, pomegranate and hard egg. The most successful bowl is the Salmon Lover Bowl, a rich combination of Bulgari with cucumber, edamame, sliced carrot, mango, onion, mesclun, cherry tomatoes, two-color sesame and fresh salmon with diced Soy Sauce and lime.
And we cannot forget the desserts. Some of the delicious specialties are figs with peanut butter and dark chocolate, chia pudding with homemade apple sauce and cinnamon and skewed fruit with chocolate.
But if you do not have time to sit down, don’t worry – they offer a Take-Away service so you can enjoy a delicious bowl anywhere in the city.
