With the boom of passion for pizza, the love converts a piece of Italy on the palate. This vehemence for an ancient tradition that has finally arrived in Barcelona. If you are one of those that likes to devour an authentic Italian pizza, this selection will be your downfall.
Dough lovers, tomato fans, pineapple haters, here we leave our five favorite pizzerias in Barcelona. A walk through an ancient way of understanding Italian cuisine, a route for the most authentic gastronomy of our beloved Italy. A special unfit for refined palates. It is the secret in… Barcelona!
How many nights have we ended the night in this legendary pizzeria, the latest icon of the Raval district. We find it hard to get a set number, but it is clear to us that there are many. You don’t always need a plate to devour a good pizza. Just like you don’t need to scratch your pockets to eat a delicious dough like Pizza Circus.
I think there are plenty of explanations for this take-away format that has been a good part of the clientele in this peculiar neighborhood. A precious corner showing its sanctified variety of giant-sized pizzas; and for only 5€ you can satisfy your hunger with two huge pieces.
We toast to the nights at Joaquín Costa! Revered glasses ending in Pizza Circus eating a Margherita and a Quattro Formaggi.
This historic pizzeria expands to cross borders from its native Naples and reach the city of Barcelona in a neighborhood that cries out for a gastronomic orgasm produced by a real Neapolitan pizza.
A gastronomic proposal reduced into three antipasti and five types of pizza. A direct bet on the stomach. A hidden space to emigrate to Naples without leaving Barcelona. The pizza for everyone, gives a home to all. Finally, the authentic Neapolitan pizza in Barcelona!
A few months ago La Balmesina arrived in Barcelona, a gourmet pizzeria in the heart of the city. An Italian restaurant that has a young team from Verona and Padua in front of the kitchen. Here you will find three types of masses with which they create up to 19 different pizzas suitable for all tastes.
At La Balmesina they always produce their pizzas with organic flour from Italy and with a fermentation of more than 72 hours. If you are one of those clamoring for an authentic Italian pizza, this is your place. Pizza? La Balmesina!
A top 5 without Frankie Gallo would be an insult to this original culinary art of Italian land. A macabre and addictive result, a result of the synergy of these three culinary fanatics: the brothers Colombo – Xemei, Bar Brutal, Can Pizza – and José Parrado – Terraza Martínez.
A different pizzeria, where it does not matter that you have drinks past dinner time, because Frankie Gallo Cha Cha Cha has a session loft, just like in the movies, suitable for “late dinners”
And if we out the menu, you won’t even want to leave here. A variety of up to 20 different combinations between which, we are crazy about the special black truffle carbonara pizza and pecorino. A true gastronomic orgasm on our palate. Frankie Gallo Cha Cha Cha, of the Raval!
On October 12, the new Parking Pizza of Paseo de Sant Joan, was lifted, but you probably already know that, unless you’ve been hibernating or crouching in a cavern. Marcos and Berta, owners of this culinary enclave, have surpassed themselves taking a real parking lot and converting it into a pizza and pitas bar.
A shout of “Parking Pizza” and we opened the gate of this new hideaway, a pizza place where several elongated tables are reminiscent of a popular dining room, accompanied by an open kitchen where the oven does not stop smoking.
A gratifying proposal in a modern and airy location, where shared tables and cardboard stools are what we are accustomed to. You can’t leave without trying the burrata pizza, our favorite among so much dough. Check the break and park in this appetizing parking lot to taste one of the best pizzas in the city.
